Celebrity Cruises will move the Celebrity Solstice to Alaska and Celebrity Infinity to the U.K. for the summer of 2013. The 2,850-guest flagship Celebrity Solstice will become the first of its class to operate in Alaska in the summer of 2013, joining Celebrity Century and Celebrity Millennium.

Celebrity Cruises is the latest line to offer a behind-the-scenes tour of areas not usually visited by cruise ship passengers. Celebrity Inside Access includes two activities, the “See How It’s Done Tour” and the “Bridge Sail Away Experience.”

Celebrity Cruises has created food-and-wine-themed cruises hosted by members of its own culinary team, including Jacques Van Staden, the line’s vice president of culinary operations and a James Beard Foundation Award nominee. The first “Excite the Senses Culinary Theme Cruises” -- named after the line’s new lifestyle book, “Excite the Senses -- is a seven-night Celebrity Eclipse sailing departing on March 24, which will be hosted by Van Staden.
